Origin
The name of our organization, Akriti, is derived from the Devanagari word "Akriti," which means "giving shape." This concept beautifully reflects our tagline, "Shaping the Dream." Our logo, which features a pen, symbolizes the essential tools necessary to shape and create dreams for individuals who lack the means to fulfill them. We recognize that many in our grassroots communities have been overlooked and deprived of their aspirations. As an organization, Akriti is steadfastly committed to supporting these individuals in realizing their dreams, no matter how distant they may seem.
The five dots in our logo represent the core principles and responsibilities of our members towards the organization and society at large. These dots symbolize our commitment to guiding individuals on their path to achieving their aspirations, illuminating the way for those who may feel lost or unsupported. Our roots trace back to a remote village, Ziradie, in the Siwan District of Bihar, which is also the birthplace of Dr. Rajendra Prasad, our first President. The initial programmatic interventions undertaken by our organization were implemented in this very region, where the need for educational and social support was most pressing.
