Women Empowerment Intervention (WEI)

AKRITI has developed a targeted programme for socio- economic empowerment of underprivileged Women in Delhi and Bihar. The Project aims at developing employability and entrepreneurial skills of underprivileged women through skill-based trainings, specific training on digital and financial literacy, exposure programs and field projects. The Key outcomes of the Project are as follows.

• To provide Skill based training to marginalized women through a comprehensive learning curriculum
• To provide financial and digital literacy through theme-based workshops
• To orient the women about innovative design, product marketing through exposure visits
• To enable rural women to develop small and sustainable businesses with minimum personal investments and maximum returns
• To provide seed funding to aspiring Women Entrepreneurs from low-income groups
• To institutionalize women groups by harnessing their skills through formation of self-help groups
• Continuous Training and Mentoring Support Women from underprivileged backgrounds willing to gain self-employment and entrepreneurial opportunities
• To converge with Government Schemes to maximize the potential of women beneficiaries
